The VACO principle

● The vacuum cushion is filled with beads. When the cushion is filled with air, it can be easily shaped to accomodate individual anatomy.

● A valve system removes the air from the cushion, causing the beads to comfortably solidify around the injury. The resulting stability provides consistently distributed pressure.

● This process can be repeated as needed so as to accommodate the injury correctly as it heals.

Indications

● Ulcerations on the foot

● Post-operative care after toe and forefoot amputations

● Diabetic neuroosteoarthropathy DNOAP and charcot foot

VACOdiaped with strap lock

Common relief orthoses can be easily removed by the patient. This may be counterproductive for the treatment. VACOdiaped Lock combines the comfort of VACOdiaped with the safety of the TCC. Three velcro straps ensure secure fastening. The fourth belt has a lock. The key is provided to the treating physician, clinic or health centre or the wound manager.
